How do I create an account?

Open the profile icon in the header and press Sign up. You enter:

• your first name, and your last name if you have one;
• a nickname, which is what other users see instead of your name;
• your email address and a password.

You also confirm that you accept the Terms and Conditions, have read the Privacy Policy and are at least 18. A second box, for offers and news by email, is optional and unticked.

Continue with Google

When it is available, Continue with Google appears above the form on the sign-up and log-in pages.

• New to Tack-o-Tack: after Google, one screen remains, One last step. Choose your nickname and tick the box accepting the Terms and Conditions; your first name is asked only if Google did not share it. Press Create account, and we send the confirmation email as usual.
• Already have an account with the same email address: if Google has verified that address, Google is linked to your account and you are signed in.

An account created with Google has no password. To add one, use the Password row in Settings, Profile, which sends you a link.

Confirming your email

We send you an email with a link to confirm your address. The link works for 24 hours.

One account for everything

The same account buys and sells. Anyone can sign up, from any country.

Other ways in

• The short form on the home page creates the same account, one question at a time, with the password last.
• If you fill a cart before signing up, you are asked to sign up when you press Pay, and your cart comes with you.
