Why are contact details hidden in my messages?

Phone numbers, email addresses, links and social media handles are hidden in messages so that payment stays on Tack-o-Tack. Keep payment on Tack-o-Tack so Buyer Protection applies.

What you see

• While you write, what will be hidden is underlined, with the note Contact details will be hidden when you send. You can always send: the message is never blocked.
• In the conversation, each hidden part shows as contact details hidden, for both of you.

What was hidden is not stored anywhere.

After a purchase

Details stay hidden in messages after a purchase too. What each side needs is on the order page instead: the name of the other user once the order is paid, and the delivery address for the user who sends the item.

Repeated attempts

If an account keeps sending contact details, a person on our team may review it. Nothing is suspended automatically.
