What is Buyer Protection?
Buyer Protection means the money you pay is not handed straight to the user who sold the item. It is held until the item has been delivered and the period for reporting a problem has ended. If something goes wrong in that time, the money is still there to be sorted out.
Buyer Protection costs you nothing.
What it applies to
Every order paid through Tack-o-Tack. It does not apply to anything paid outside Tack-o-Tack, which is why contact details are hidden in messages: Keep payment on Tack-o-Tack so Buyer Protection applies.
What you can report
- The item did not arrive. See What if my parcel never arrives?
- The item is not what the listing described.
How long it lasts
7 days from delivery when the item was sold by a private individual, and 14 days when it was sold by a business. Your order shows Buyer Protection until and the date. See How long do I have to report a problem? and Why do some orders have 7 days and others 14?
What it does not cover
On a sale between private individuals there is no trial period. An item that is as described but does not suit you or your horse is not a problem Buyer Protection settles.
