How many photos do I need, and what are the saddle photos?
One photograph is the minimum and twelve is the maximum. More photographs help, but only one is required.
Photos are made smaller in your browser before they upload, so large files from a phone are fine.
The four saddle photos
When the item is a saddle, the photo step shows four named places, in the order you would take them:
| Photo | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Profile | The saddle from the side |
| Panels | The underside, the part that sits on the horse's back |
| Tree stamp | The maker's stamp on the tree |
| Serial | The serial number, usually under the billet guard |
None of them is required. A saddle whose serial cannot be read can still be listed. Each named photo carries its name as a caption on the listing page.
Changing photos later
You can add, remove and reorder photos when you edit the listing. A listing always keeps at least one.
