How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings, then Profile, and choose Delete account at the bottom of the page.

Before anything happens, we show you what deleting your account does. To confirm, enter your password. If you sign in with Google and have no password, type DELETE in capital letters instead.

What happens when you delete your account

  • Your listings are taken off Tack-o-Tack.
  • Your name, email address, nickname and photo are removed.
  • Your orders, and the messages about them, are kept without your name, because we must keep them for accounting.
  • You are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in to this account again.
  • We stop sending you marketing emails.

This cannot be undone. You can sign up again later with the same email address, but you start with a new, empty account.

When you cannot delete your account yet

You cannot delete your account while something is still in progress:

  • an order you bought that is not finished yet;
  • an order for one of your listings that is waiting for payment;
  • a payout that has not been released yet.

We tell you which of these is still open. Once it is finished, you can delete your account.

If you belong to a shop with other members, the shop and its listings stay on Tack-o-Tack, and only your own account is deleted. If you are the shop's only owner, first make another member an owner in Settings, then Account, under Team. We tell you which shop needs one.

To take a single listing off the site, you do not need to delete your account. See Can I save a draft, edit, unpublish or delete a listing?
