Can I collect an item in person?

Yes, when the listing offers it. A listing that can be collected says Collection in person on its page.

Choosing collection

In the cart, Collection in person appears only when every item in that cart can be collected. Collection has no shipping cost.

The listing shows the town and country where the item is. The exact address is never shown publicly. Once you have paid, you can arrange the handover with the other user in Messages.

Confirming the handover

When you have the item, open your order and press Received. That confirms the handover, and it counts as the delivery: your Buyer Protection period starts from that moment. See Why do some orders have 7 days and others 14?

The handover has to happen within the same 5 business days that apply to sending a parcel. If it is not confirmed by then, the order is cancelled and you are refunded in full.

Carriages can only be collected in person.
