How is a delivery recorded?
An order counts as delivered at the first of these:
- The carrier's tracking shows the parcel as delivered, or collected from a pickup point.
- The user who paid presses Received on the order.
- For a collection in person, the user who paid presses Received at the handover.
The delivery is recorded once and never moved afterwards.
What delivery starts
- The order shows Delivered, and the user who sold gets a notification: Your item has been delivered.
- The Buyer Protection period starts: 7 or 14 days, depending on who sold the item. The order shows Buyer Protection until and the date. See Why do some orders have 7 days and others 14?
- The payout to the user who sold follows when that period ends. See When do I get paid?
What does not count
- A ready to be picked up notice from the carrier. The parcel is delivered when it is collected.
- The Expected delivery date. It is for information only.
Pressing Received
The Received button appears on your order once it has been sent, or straight away for a collection in person. Press it only when you have the item in your hands.
